Our brick walkway has finally been completed. Located behind the children’s garden that commemorates the genocide, it will be our reminder of bringing glory to the name of Christ.
It’s back to school time, and back to Sunday School time at St. Thomas Armenian Church! Supervisor Jane Solakian enthusiastically welcomed students this past Sunday, September 10, for a whole new year of teaching the Armenian Apostolic Christian faith to our parish children. Enrollment remains open. If you are interested in enrolling your child to the St. Thomas Armenian Church Sunday School, you may do so by contacting Mrs. Solakian or the Church office.
Members of St. Thomas and Sunday School staff have been busy preparing for the Christmas season! It is with thanks to their efforts that our lobby has been adorned with a beautiful Christmas tree and peaceful nativity display. The Sunday School asks that you please join us Sunday, December 18, right after Soorp Badarak, for the first annual St. Thomas Sunday School Christmas tree lighting ceremony! As part of the ceremony, Fr. Papken will also bless the children. Celebrations will continue as the students sing joyful Armenian Christmas carols.
St. Thomas Armenian Church Sunday School students had a day of fun and creativity for fall, getting to know their new classmates while decorating their own pumpkins to take home! Our Sunday School has year-round open enrollment, and tuition is free. If you are interested in enrolling your child, just stop by! We encourage the spiritual foundation and growth of your children.
The annual St. Thomas Children’s Easter Communion and Breakfast took place on Saturday, March 26. The pews were filled with children of all ages, and their families, to receive Holy Communion and then enjoy breakfast with a special guest, the Easter Bunny! What a great turnout. This special service for the children is attended every year by all Armenian children in the area. Thanks to many people at St. Thomas, this year’s communion and breakfast was an uplifting and unforgettable Easter celebration!
You may register your child at any time of the year with the confidence that there is always a warm welcome by the St. Thomas family and faculty!
This past Sunday, after Badarak, the St. Thomas Armenian Church Sunday School hosted a bake sale in the lobby. The Sunday School is also recruiting new students! If you are interested to have your child attend, please check our Sunday School page for more information.
