On Palm Sunday, March 25, at the Saint Thomas Armenian Church 53rd Anniversary Dinner, Barkev Hagopian and Krikor Hamparsumian will be honored with the St. Thomas Award for their sincere devotion and many years of service to St. Thomas Armenian Church.

On Sunday, March 11, St. Thomas Armenian Church held its annual mid-Lenten Luncheon for parishioners and friends to enjoy. Traditional vegan specialties were prepared lovingly by dedicated members of our church. Sincere thanks go to all those who helped donate, prepare and cook the dishes, prepare the Atrium, and work together to make the Lenten Luncheon a beautiful event for everyone!

On Saturday, February 3rd, the Kirikian Armenian School of St. Thomas Armenian Church held it’s annual Poon Paregentan party for its students. Every year, children, teachers, and parents look forward to having the kids change into their costumes after class and watch them take part of many festivities before the period of Great Lent.
The St. Thomas Armenian Church Cultural Committee held its first ever Winter Wonderland themed Cookie and Cupcake Decorating Party for children. It was a great success, as 57 happy children were guided by professional pastry bakers, Mrs. Hilda Giritlian and Mrs. Serpouhi Vartivarian. The children decorated to their heart’s content, and the best part was that they were able to take their treats home to show off and enjoy!
Our brick walkway has finally been completed. Located behind the children’s garden that commemorates the genocide, it will be our reminder of bringing glory to the name of Christ.
Twenty-one youth from the St. Thomas ACYOA chapter attended Sports Weekend during Columbus Day weekend from October 7 to 9. Over 250 Armenian youth from the northeast gathered at this event, hosted by St. Leon’s in Fairlawn, NJ, to enjoy sports and social activities.
On Sunday September 17, 2017 after church services, the ACYOA youth group of St. Thomas Armenian Church held a fundraising Car Wash. The youth raised over $350 washing cars for 2 hours.
St. Thomas Armenian Church Cultural Committee hosted Near East Relief Board Member, Shant Mardirossian for the screening of his film “They Shall Not Perish: The Story of Near East Relief.” With over 50 people attending, Mr. Mardirossian and attendees had dialogue about the film and the role of the Near East Relief. Many would echo the opinion of one attendee who said “the film was very well produced and well-received by the audience.”
