Elia Kazan’s film is about struggles of his uncle in emigrating to America.  The story takes place during the 1890’s in Anatolia, where the Greek and Armenian minorities were repressed by the majority Turks, often leading to violence.

A reception will follow the discussion, and will include a book-signing.

No other Armenian has won the Pulitzer Prize since William Saroyan
in 1940, for Drama.

Please join us for this special evening!
