Because learning never stops at the classroom, St. Thomas Armenian Church is proud to continue a tradition of almost 20 years of chess instruction to our Armenian children! We provide a wonderful opportunity to students, aged eight and up, to learn a national sport of Armenia. We are happy to announce the return of Chess Instructor Ohannes Baltaian to St. Thomas, and invite new and returning students to the free introductory session on Saturday, September 23. All Armenian children from the Tri-state area can participate in the Chess Club at St. Thomas. Beginner and Intermediate Chess classes are taught weekly, on Saturdays, at 1:30pm. All interested parents should complete the attached registration form to Ani Capan.
On Saturday, September 17, the Kirikian Armenian School will open its doors once again to students aged 2 1/2 to 12 years old, eager to learn all aspects of Armenian language, history, culture, religion, music, and more. The Kirikian Armenian School is very nurturing and welcomes all new students with open arms.
It’s back to school time, and back to Sunday School time at St. Thomas Armenian Church! Supervisor Jane Solakian enthusiastically welcomed students this past Sunday, September 10, for a whole new year of teaching the Armenian Apostolic Christian faith to our parish children. Enrollment remains open. If you are interested in enrolling your child to the St. Thomas Armenian Church Sunday School, you may do so by contacting Mrs. Solakian or the Church office.
